Apple orchard

Hi everyone! So we have decided on where we want to get married!

We found a secret spot that not a lot of people know or heard of. It's the only apple orchard/farm in Las Vegas. Since Vegas is a desert, you wouldn't think there would be such a thing here but we found one! It's called Girlcrease Orchard, located 15 minutes away from the strip.

We decided on an orchard because that was where Joshua had proposed to me. The proposal happened at the apple orchard/winery in Grand Rapids,MI, Robinettes (check it out! It's awesome!) but we wanted to incorporate that somehow in the wedding. Thinking we'd never find somethin like that out here, we did and then realized we have to do it there.

Hopefully we will find a place for the reception soon. But we have many surprises and cool ideas. We also plan to order the wines from Robinettes to continue on tradition and place where I said "yes!" So expect some yummy wines, cider, apples, and doughnuts!!!

Ciao!

fun with the camera

so on our way driving from Michigan to Las Vegas, we made a stop at Colorado to visit a good friend of ours, Caley! We had her take pictures of us for our save the dates! We went up the mountains and went to the Stanley where the movie The Shining was shot.

To be honest, The Stanley was the creepiest hotel ever. It was old and tiny and creepy.

Anyways, here's some pictures that we took and fell in love with!

so for those who have received our save the dates, we are so excited to have sent them out and can't wait for the following years til the big day!!!

thank you Caley for the awesome photos. Couldn't have asked for anyone else better to do our pictures for us.

How we asked our friends to be in the wedding

So josh and I had decided to keep everything announcement wise a secret because we wanted to make it a surprise for everyone for the engagement party. At the party, we decided to give "gifts" away to our "secret bridesmaids" and "secret groomsmen." This was how I asked my girls to me apart of the wedding!

That's a picture of Emily and Madi right next to her opening the gifts.

I got them all shoes! I got them gray colored shoes which is our wedding colors: gray, yellow, and pink. So each hoe was different style as well to represent their individuality and each one gets to pick their own dress as well!

Here is Andrew with his cuff links of the grand piano.

The gifts the guys got were cuff links of what we though we suitable or just like them. Adam got Xbox, Andrew got a grand piano, Zack got rotors, and so on forth.

That is how we asked our friends to be a part of the wedding!

Here's a group shot missing Caley and barely able to see Ashley or Marc.

Officially start mode!

We now are officially in start mode! We finally move out here to Vegas: which is wedding destination so that means finally, we are starting to plans and make the big decisions!

Just last week we had Caley do photos for our save the dates! We are so happy and pleased with the work she's done! I will post them up later when I get the chance. We officially decided on our save the dates but now must come up with a guest list and head count then we can start ordering the fun stuff and mail those suckers out.

On top of that, bridal expo Friday and Saturday! Sheila, Josh's dads girlfriend is going to take me along with Skyler! So hopefully I'll get something good out there. I am beyond excited and finally in wedding  mode! Hopefully this planning thing will be fun.

Say hello to our cute little flower girl, Charlotte. She is almost two years old and is super happy and excited in this picture eating a cookie!

Now say hello to our other flower/junior bridesmaid girl, Jessi. She is almost 12.

Both josh and I are super excited to have them be part of our wedding.

Bridesmaids!

So for the bridesmaids out there, I, Angela decided to not have a single maid of honor, but to make all of you my maid of honors! I believe I chose all of you for a reason and that's why you are all unique and special to me, making impossible for me to pick just one or two. :]

Ashley and Britt have asked if they can be in charge of deciding on the details for the bachelorette party and bridal shower. Not so sure if we plan on having a bridal shower but if anyone else has any ideas for the party or wedding, don't hesitate to ask or make suggestions. Ashley and Britt have the final say par-say but it's a group effort!

Hopefully by now you all received my color swatches and announcement. I'm leaning towards more of a pastel yellow and I'm glad some of you have asked already what kind of dress to look for. Well, we are going for more of a vintage type because they guys are going to be a bit vintage as well. I like lace a lot and it's going to be hot because the wedding most likely will be in Nevada so pick wisely. The picture of the girls in the back are kind of a thing to go on. So don't worry bout being formal or having it be a cocktail dress, just pick something you'd like! Or send me pics and I can give you my opinions.

That's it for now! We'll probably post a lot more stuff on here later on in the next few months when we move out to Vegas in a couple of weeks.
