Aisle come running

I got these wonderful shoes!!! Since out wedding colors are yellow and grey and I got the bridesmaid grey shoes and were going for vintage type, I got these cute yellow shoes from modcloth! It's called the aisle come running in buttercup! How sweet I think of our cute little buttercup as well on our big day! But these are the shoes I'll be wearing on our big day!!!

Aren't they just cute?! They're perfect and are super comfy! Josh got his shoes and were ready! Can't wait for this big day!!!

Less than two months away!

Sorry we haven't posted anything new lately. Been incredibly busy with planning, working, and out everyday life.

We are so ecstatic to say that we are two months away!!! We have been hearing out friends and family finally buyin their plane tickets to make it out here for our big day!

We are doin very well actually on planning. Luckily we started on projects and planning a while back so we don't have to procrastinate.

So 10 fun things to do while here on a short trip!!!

1: want to see a view of the Las Vegas strip and mountains the desert valley has to provide? Check out the high roller at the linq; worlds largest observation wheel which we are giving away 2 free tickets at the wedding as a prize! (Yes, there will be an iSpy game that'll let you win prizes!) all children 12 and younger get to go for free and there is a VIP cabin where you have your own personal bartender to make you drinks while riding it!

Or you could stop by Paris for the Eiffel Tower experience! (Also a prize!) you get to ride an elevator to the top of the tower which is the exact replica of the Eiffel Tower which is about half the actual size.

2: if you so happen to be here during the week, Tuesdays the linq promenade does a silent disco. And it's FREE! You just have to provide your ID and they give you a pair of sanitized headphones where only you can listen to the music and you dance on the dance floor to the music, in your own world. Great people watcher activity if you're not into dancing to your own music.

3: the only cupcake ATM machine I've seen in my life is at the linq promenade as well. It's literally an ATM machine that dispenses really moist an delicious cupcakes and cookies. They have I've cream as well and an actual shop but the ATM machine is just a sweet touch!

4: bellagio fountains is an iconic piece on the strip. It is a water show tuned with music from the past or even today's! Definitely a must see and romantic stop. Stop inside the bellagio as well to see what kind of theme garden they have! Always worth a see and both are free!

5: stop by the cosmopolitan for some luck and fortune! At te front of the casino there is a huge silver lucky cat. You put your hand upto it an a card comes out and you either get a fortune or if you're really lucky, free play at the casino! I believe it is 21 and up only due to the gambling. But free as well. While you're there, check out the wicked spoon buffet and the chandelier bar! Absolutely stunning! The crystal chandelier goes from the first floor to I believe the 2nd or 3rd.

6: New York New York has a roller coaster that looks like a taxicab! The coaster itself goes outside and it's pretty scary! They also have an awesome kids arcade with lots of games!

For an amusement park sort of thing, check out circus circus. They have free circus shows at the property and the adventuredome which has 6 major roller coasters instead with many other rides and movies! Great way to spend a day riding coasters an playing games like a carnival! Considering the fact that it'll be during October, it will be turned into the fear dome. Like a haunted house sort of thing where goblins and ghouls come out to play. NBD.

7: the bodies/titanic exhibit. Both in the Luxor, both very cool. MGM does this deal where you can get 3 attractions for I think about $53. (Tickets run about $16) but you get to choose where you want to go. You can go to adventuredome, the bodies exhibit, titanic exhibit, Siegfried and Roy garden, Mandalay bay aquarium, csi experience and I can't remember if there's one more. But it is so worth it because they're all somethin fun for a good price! Stop by any MGM property to purchase tickets.

8: Fremont street. Downtown there are so many things to see. Lots of vendors who can make special gifts for you or anyone. You see very interesting people there but the best part is the ceiling has screens in which is shows some sort of show that goes along with the music. There is also a zip line that'll take you from one end to the other, zooming over the crowd.

If you happen to be there, make sure to stop by the heart attack grill. Sexy nurses spank you with paddles if you don't finish your heart attack fatty burgers. Shakes are amazing there!

9: gamble of course! Now $5 blackjack table are my thing. I usually gamble at the rio or at the silverton. On the strip I've heard there is $5 black jack tables at New York New York and the margaritaville.

10: since it'll be nice and breezy for when the wedding comes, stop by gilcrease orchard for some apple cider and apple cider doughnuts! They're awesome and it's an orchard where you pick your own stuff like apples, pumpkins, squash, whatever's in season. Not too bad of prices but it's the only orchard in Vegas/desert.

Well hopefully this gave you some fun ideas to do while you're here!!! Text or call me or josh if you have any questions or suggestions! And post lots of pics so we see what fun things you guys did in Vegas!

See ya soon!!!

Postponement

Hey guys!

Hope everyone is doing well.

We have some unfortunate news of postponing the wedding. Both Joshua and I lost our jobs.

For those who didn't know, I got injured recently with a broken arm, not being able to work, therefore I lost my job. Josh's company got bought out so he's currently looking for a new job.

So, with such unfortunate events, we no longer can afford a wedding.

We're taking this moment to be grateful! Don't be sad or upset for us. And don't worry. We are learning day by day to learn how to make it by. That's why we are so thankful to our family both sides understanding and helping with our living situation.

If anything, this is bringing us stronger as a couple and giving us bigger and better opportunities. God works in mysterious ways but we know it's all good.

So we are currently postponing it for another year. There's no way we can bounce back even if we did get a job in the next couple of weeks in time.

If anyone's made plans or arrangements already, please let us know. Who knows? Maybe you can make it into a vacation!

But as of now, the wedding date will be August of 2015.

Sorry, but thank you for your understanding.

Apple orchard

Hi everyone! So we have decided on where we want to get married!

We found a secret spot that not a lot of people know or heard of. It's the only apple orchard/farm in Las Vegas. Since Vegas is a desert, you wouldn't think there would be such a thing here but we found one! It's called Girlcrease Orchard, located 15 minutes away from the strip.

We decided on an orchard because that was where Joshua had proposed to me. The proposal happened at the apple orchard/winery in Grand Rapids,MI, Robinettes (check it out! It's awesome!) but we wanted to incorporate that somehow in the wedding. Thinking we'd never find somethin like that out here, we did and then realized we have to do it there.

Hopefully we will find a place for the reception soon. But we have many surprises and cool ideas. We also plan to order the wines from Robinettes to continue on tradition and place where I said "yes!" So expect some yummy wines, cider, apples, and doughnuts!!!

Ciao!

fun with the camera

so on our way driving from Michigan to Las Vegas, we made a stop at Colorado to visit a good friend of ours, Caley! We had her take pictures of us for our save the dates! We went up the mountains and went to the Stanley where the movie The Shining was shot.

To be honest, The Stanley was the creepiest hotel ever. It was old and tiny and creepy.

Anyways, here's some pictures that we took and fell in love with!

so for those who have received our save the dates, we are so excited to have sent them out and can't wait for the following years til the big day!!!

thank you Caley for the awesome photos. Couldn't have asked for anyone else better to do our pictures for us.
